The moment I never wanted to end

Hello and Happy Thursday! :D

In the busyness of life, it is easy to get swept away and we quickly loose sight of our dreams, passion, and the things that matter most to us. We allow ourselves to be overworked and spread out so thin to the point where we burn out and crash. It’s an easy thing to do. If we’re being honest here, I am guilty of this. I quickly fill up my calendar and rarely have a day off, and when I do, I’m sleeping from exhaustion. I often let life take over.

Last week, I decided to take a mini 2 day vacation to Ocean City, New Jersey to not only see one of my best friends, but also to get rest and to take some time to re focus. I spent hours of my time walking along the beach alone thinking about my priorities, my relationship with God, my business, and my goals. While doing this, I realized I had lost sight of some goals and vision I set long ago. I realized the craziness of life was taking over. It was so refreshing for me to get away from my normal surroundings and to let myself sit down and breathe. To listen to the waves of the ocean crashing all around me. To allow myself to rest physically, mentally, and spiritually. It was so huge for me and I realized how important it is to take those moments to re focus.  On my last morning at the beach, I got up at 5:00am to watch the sunrise. It was honestly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen and it was in that moment, that the world seemed to stop and I was filled with such peace. I  never wanted that moment to end. There is something so powerful and incredible about watching the sun come up from the horizon and seeing it wake up the world. It was absolutely breath-taking.
I came back from Ocean City so recharge and excited about my business! It’s what I needed so badly. :)

I encourage you, take time to relax and refocus. Especially if you’re in the midst of wedding planning. It’s easy to get caught up in to-do lists, but the lists will get done in time. Don’t let the stress of planning distract you from enjoying the wonderful planning process.

The colors were so soft and beautiful.

As the sun rose, the colors keep changing. It was incredible.
