Ahhh, I had SO much fun photographing Ashlee & Ed in downtown Milford! I cannot wait to share more from this session!!
Hello & Happy Wednesday!!
Last week was a crazy one for me! Justin and I decided to re-do our guest bedroom over Labor Day weekend, then I ended up flying to Florida very last minute for work, then flew in to Connecticut late Friday night to photograph Kendra and Bob’s wedding on Saturday, and then Jamie & Maddy’s wedding on Sunday! Let’s just say, I crashed hardcore when I came home from Jamie & Maddy’s wedding on Sunday night. But I will say this, after a long and eventful weekend, this was the perfect wedding to end my week. To say I had fun photographing this wedding, is a HUGE understatement. From the gorgeous ceremony outside, to the big, fun, bridal party of a whooping 22 people, I didn’t stop smiling the whole day. This wedding brought so much joy to my heart watching Jamie and Maddy becoming one. These two are so full of love it makes my heart explode. I am so overjoyed I was able to photograph such a beautiful day for such a beautiful couple <3
Congratulations Jamie & Maddy!!
Here’s a little preview for you :)
Hello and Happy Thursday!
Last weekend, Justin and I got to travel to Pennsylvania to visit some of my (our) family for a camping trip. – I have to be honest here. I absolutely LOVE living in Connecticut and I wouldn’t have it any other way, but it has been extremely tough moving so far away from my family. Only living a few states away doesn’t seem like a big deal since Pennsylvania is in driving distance, but it’s hard. I miss out on a lot of family gatherings. I don’t get to stop by mom’s house if I’m having a bad day and I simply don’t get to see my family often.
So it’s weekends like this that make my heart leap for joy. I am so thankful for the time I get to spend with them. Even if it’s only a few times a year. <3
Meet my family:
My momma! <3
My nephews! (And Justin)
Robert loves Justin!
Me with some of my nephews!
ahhh seriously THAT SMILE :D
Justin and I are EXCITED to announce that we will be traveling to Thailand with our friends Dustin and Rochelle early next year.
You probably already know Dustin and Rochelle from the few times I’ve photographed them. Dustin and Rochelle are also the talented couple that did our wedding video which can be viewed below.
Justin and I are looking to photograph a wedding during our 2 week stay in Thailand as well as photograph any couple who’s willing to be adventurous!
If you are somebody you know is looking for a wedding photographer in Thailand or would just love a session while we’re there, contact us to set something up! :)
Or travel dates for Thailand will be January 30th – February 12th. :)
Hello & Happy Wednesday!
While photographing Chris and Tiffany’s wedding, the only way to get Alexander, (the ring bearer) to come into the photo, was to tell him to kiss the flower girl, Kailey… . And Alexander did just that.
He walked right into the photo, laid a kiss on Kailey and then walked away. We were all laughing so hard and I’m happy I caught the moment. This photo, was the only photo we were able to get with Alexander and it was worth it. I hope this made you smile today. :)
Hello and Happy Wednesday!
Boy oh boy I can hardly contain my excitement over this wedding!
Emmet and Anne’s wedding on Saturday was nothing short of perfect. Their wedding screamed simple elegance in the best way possible.
It truly was a photographers dream.
Not only did their wedding look stunning, but the chemistry Emmet & Anne share is incredible to see. I couldn’t put my camera down because they never stopped smiling and laughing together. It completely melted my heart.
Sigh, what a wonderful day full of love.
Hello and Happy Wednesday!!!
Boy oh boy am I excited to share this session with all of you!!!
I absolutely love Jamie & Maddy and I had way too much fun on this shoot with them!
With Maddy’s bubbly personally and Jamie’s outgoing spirit, we were destined to be friends. Jamie and Maddy were one of those couples where I just instantly clicked with. Within minutes of talking, I felt as if we were long time friends. – and it was amazing!
When I mentioned to them that I was thinking of doing their engagement session in the woods and it would require some hiking, they jumped on the idea with no doubts. I seriously love nothing more then when couples are willing to do something different and adventurous!
So we met up at a really cool park right here in Connecticut and the shoot was perfect. We started off in the woods by the water and eventually made our way to an open field which in my opinion, looks like Arizona. It was super rad. This whole engagement session flowed so perfectly and I couldn’t have asked for a better time. :)
Jamie and Maddy, I can’t WAIT for your wedding in September!
That smile is too cute! :D
ahhh, you two are just too adorable!
outfit & location change! :D
Seriously though, doesn’t this place have an Arizona feel to it?
And a little behind the scenes :)
Hello and Happy Tuesday!
This past Saturday, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Chris and Tiffany’s amazing Greek wedding. I was so blown away by how detailed everything was and how completely stunning everything looked. I just couldn’t help myself and HAD to post a few of my favorite photos from the day! :D
This story starts when I was 12 years old.
I was in the back seat of my parents car sitting next to my best friend nearly jumping out of my seat in excitement. I looked to my mom in the front seat smiling ear to ear. I couldn’t believe the day was finally here. I have been waiting for this day for what seemed like months. This day was about to be the coolest day of my life. A day I would never forget and would be able to tell all my friends and family. We pulled up to the mini local airport and there it was. The mini fighter plane I was about to go ride in. It looked even better in person. My mind raced as I thought of all the places we could fly to and all the things I would be able to see. I had never been on a plane before so my expectations were high. Once we parked I whipped open the back door and jumped quickly out of the car ready to take on my new adventure.
As my parents were talking with the pilot, I knew something was wrong. I could tell by my mom’s face. They explained to my mom that the contest she had one for somebody to go for a plane ride, they had to be 18 years old to fly. My dreams were CRUSHED. I felt my eyes welling up and tears began to fall. The day that was suppose to be perfect, ended oh so wrong. I left that day feeling devastated and like my world had fallen apart. I mean hey, when you’re 12 years old, these things are the world to you.
After years went by, I never forgot that day. Something inside of me always wanted to go back and fly in that plane. Almost to prove something.
When Justin and I had started dating, I had told him that very story expressing how bummed I was that I never got my airplane ride. Well, you see, Justin is a master at remembering every little detail and story I’ve ever told him, so he stored that story somewhere in the back of his mind for a later time. This past May for my birthday, I got a birthday gift I never expected. The ultimate surprise – an hour long plane ride where I get to fly the actual plane… like WHAT! How awesome is that!? When Justin had told me what he got for my birthday, it was like my childhood dream came back to life. I couldn’t believe my time had finally come. And not to mention I was amazed at the fact that Justin even remembered that story after 2 years.
So this past Saturday, I not only got my plane ride, but I got to fly the actual plane! It was such an amazing experience. The actual flight time was about 45 minutes and I did %90 of the flying during that time. I even landed! Ah, it was so much fun and I couldn’t have asked for a better day! :)
Hello and Happy Wednesday!
I’ve had the privilege of photographing so many amazing couples lately and Steve & Amy are one of them.
As soon as Amy expressed to me that she wanted to do their engagement photos by the beach in Fairfield, my heart leaped for joy and I instantly had a vision of them standing in the water with waves crashing all around them. Thankfully both Steve and Amy were more then willing to do just that which made for some really gorgeous photographs.
I absolutely love when couple are willing to be adventurous because it makes such great photos!
Amy & Steve, thanks for being so much fun to photograph! :)
